I can’t believe Thanksgiving is in a few days. Where has the time gone? I’ve been sitting in the studio this morning looking through photos from last year and came across a photo shoot that is very near and dear to my heart.
Martha Stewart Living approached me last Easter and asked me, along with several of my friends, to create a small dinner party, which was a very easy thing to accept. Shiva Rose of A Local Rose offered to host it in her lovely back yard oasis. Rachel Craven provided the hand made table linens along with all of the dinnerware by Heath. Danielle Steckler of Paper Palate spent her time in the kitchen cooking a delicious Easter feast, which we all enjoyed later that afternoon.
It was such a relaxing gathering. I love collaborating with friends because it never feels like work, and it’s a great chance for all of us to see our significant others and our children – well, not mine. I definitely wasn’t pregnant yet! And I probably wore way to much makeup for a casual Easter dinner but what can you do? I’d also like to draw your attention to Shiva’s incredible teepee. It was decorated with the prettiest dogwood you’ve ever seen.
